Which is UKL Sanitary Steam Trap

Uni Klinger Clean steam Trap/ Sanitary steam Trap (UCT-10)

A sanitary steam trap is designed to maintain the hygienic conditions of a system, applications where cleanliness is crucial. Clean steam traps are used specifically for generating clean steam, which is free from contaminants and impurities. They play a vital role in maintaining the quality of steam used in critical applications.

Traps remove condensate from clean and pure steam applications with minimal condensate retention. Uniklinger offers a complete range of TC ends traps to handle the special requirements of clean steam systems.

Main applications: -

  • Sterile steam barriers,
  • Block and bleed installations,
  • mains drainage,
  • CIP of vessels and reactors.

Use in Industries: -

  • Pharmaceutical
  • Food
  • Beverage
  • hospitals

How It works: -

During cold or start-up conditions, the capsule will be entirely open, allowing an enormous amount of air and condensate to be drained. Pressure builds up inside the bellows, expanding it and driving the associated plug (ball) into the trap exit orifice. The trap will remain closed until the bellows temperature falls down the saturation temperature.

The Uniklinger sanitary balanced pressure thermostatic steam trap is designed to collect condensate from clean and pure steam applications while retaining as little condensate as possible. The split-free body design of the UCT 10 constructed in 316L stainless steel for corrosion resistance has a 15° inclined seat to enable full draining capabilities. The standard element is extremely sensitive to changes in condensate temperature and is designed to open with a minimum of sub-cooling, less than 2°C from steam saturation temperature, at pressures below 2.5 bar g for typical operating conditions; exact operating performance may vary depending on operating pressure, installation, and ambient conditions.

UCT 10 traps are highly polished for  cleanability. Compact and lightweight, the traps are self-draining to minimize contamination. ease of maintenance and installation make it unique.
