The function of any Steam Trap is to discharge condensate and trap live steam. Therefore in any plant, a Trap is always accompanied by a Isolation valve for isolation to maintain/repair the trap and a Bypass valve to let out the condensate uninterrupted while the trap is being maintained. This was available in the form of a Trap Module, involving pipes, valves, traps and flanges etc. This entailed adequate inventory carrying, fabrication facilities, testing facilities to check the integrity of the assembly. Not to speak of the time factor.

All these time consuming activities can be eliminated by incorporating these features in a compact forged Unit, as a Uni Klinger High Pressure Thermodynamic Steam Trap Compact Module [UTD120CM].

This unit offers a compact solution, with inbuilt Globe Valves & Steam Trap, replacing the conventional complex Trap Module.

Specific industry has very high number of High pressure trap installation based on process requirement.
Due to high number of installation, access after installation & maintenance become an issue.
To address the same, compact high pressure traps have been introduced. This address the issues like space constraint as well as weight of high pressure TD trap.
High pressure Thermodynamic traps are designed with an inbuilt inlet isolation valve,bypass valve & trap checking valve for very high pressure steam applications upto 220 barg@374 DegC.
Compact trap module comprising of Thermodynamic steam trap, which uses a disc to release of condensate & this is the only moving part in the trap which sits during the flashing of condensate above disc and lift when the flash steam above the disc condenses.
This compact module has replaceable trap internals and inbuilt strainer for ease of maintenance.
Consumes less space.

Less wear &tear due to unique flow pattern.
Trap should have horizontal entry for ease of cleaning operation of the drip leg at regular intervals for better uptime of the trap due to very high temperature & pressure or else dirt & muck will clog the trap orifice OR damage the Disc /Seat resulting in need for entire line flushing OR finally repair/replacement of Steam Trap.
