Steam Trap Management Services Uni Klinger

The Steam Trap Survey has given emphasis mainly on study of existing system, actual measurement & validation of relevant data gathered during the trial runs and not the least the energy conservation potentials that we analyzed after Steam Trap auditing by following the simple energy conservation rules and methodologies. We have also tried to elaborate our scope by adding some general energy conservation tips and measures that will help to analyze the utilities and equipment’s present in the plant. This will help to monitor the performance & operational efficiencies of the existing systems

STEAM TRAP SURVEY SCOPE & OBJECTIVES

  • To Carryout field Survey audit of all the Steam Traps by using sophisticated equipment's like Infra Red Temperature indicator as well as expert visual inspection
  • To study the identified steam traps and its associated accessories like isolation valves, strainers, bypass valves etc. and summarizing its individual working condition with respect to its location, type, size, application, installation & status.
  • To identify the areas of potential steam loss and prepares the consolidated details report with UNFCCC approved methodology for steam loss calculation.
  • To prepare the detailed Steam Trap Survey Report that shall present the summarized overview of the steam trap system status, probable solutions for leakage minimization/arresting, consolidation of the measures that needs to be taken to arrest the   leakages & losses and providing the Techno-commercial optimum solution for the steam (i.e. Ultimately Energy) Conservation.
  • The report may consist of assisting any Plant to incorporate the recommendations to achieve the desired savings. UKL may submit the detailed list of material (BOQ) that may be needed to carry out the Replacement, Repair & Maintenance of the identified mal-functioning steam traps.

STEAM SYSTEM REPORTING IN DETAIL

Based on the steam and condensate audit conducted, data collected and analyzed, following points are stringy are recommended –

Repair or replace all the passing & chocked steam traps.

Properly Installation of the Condensate Recovery System.

Installation of Air vents on Steam lines at dead ends.

Replace all the faulty valves
